The New York Times recently had a full-page story about planning a 36 hour trip to WDW. One of the tips they gave was to park at the Beach Club and enter Epcot through the International Gateway - it said it was a 5 minute walk. The article suggested that at the end of your day, you can exit through the Gateway, stopping to watch Illuminations. That way, it was suggested, you miss the stampede to the parking lot, etc. It sounded like a good idea - anyone ever tried it?

The exit to Epcot is one my favorite things to do, hearing the music play and seeing al the pretty lights. My father in law is obsessed with stopping by the Rose and Crown for 1 last beer (always gets a Harp). Thid way the initial "surge" of people are gone and it's a pleasant stroll

Keep in mind, the Beach Club tends to be pretty strict on whom they give permission to park to.
My suggestion park at the lot for the Boardwalk nightime complex. You can say you want to go to Atlantic Dance or the ESPN Club, and then instead stroll over to EPCOT.

You can park in the Epcot parking lot and not have a problem. You can either speed walk to your car as soon as it ends. And or take your sweet time in Mouse Gear, they have lots and lots of really cool stuff. Plus its huge !

Is it possible to see Wishes and Illuminations in the same night??? It doesn't make much sense to have the shows so close together. My dad insists that we see Illuminations every night that we are at Walt Disney World, so one night we left Epcot quickly on the Monorail and only saw a portion of Wishes from the Ticket and Transportation Center. :fork:
