I understand this is not the place to discuss politics, religion, etc. and I do not wish to provoke a discussion/debate on gay marriage. However, I'm hoping folks here can help clarify something.

I've seen some news reports say that Cinderella's castle was lit up with rainbow colors in celebration of the Supreme Court decision Friday. I've seen other reports that say, no, those rainbow colors are always a part of one of the shows, and the person/people posting the photos and linking them to the decision are incorrect.

So... which is it? Was it done in reaction to the decision or is it a normal part of one of the daily shows?

Thanks!

The photograph that was flying around social media surrounding that was actually taken in 2008 and had nothing to do with the SCOTUS decision. It was a lighting package on the castle tied to SpectroMagic and to my knowledge was used without the photographers permission (I actually know the photographer). I'm not posting the photograph here because I do not have his permission to do so.

I saw that one particular photo was fake/not from the date described. Still didn't know if it was actually done and they just got the photo wrong.

Either way, taking a side on political issues bad for business, the have a consumer fan base that is made up of many different beliefs. Taking sides wouldn't be a decision they would make. I don't think they would do that or they would lose customers and some of their fan base.
