I recieved a letter in the mail from WD travel stating that my bill was past due and that I had to pay my bill immediately or my reservations would be canceled. All of this even thogh the due date listed on the letter was August 5th more than 2 weeks away. I called the number and was told to ingnore the letter because i was a Disney club member so everything is ok but i'd hate to think that people could miss out on their vacations because of a clerical error at Disney

That is why I always pay by credit card over the phone when I book the trip. Disney is so screwed up with the dates the money is due. The amount of time the money is due depends on how far away your trip is from the time of the booking. So as dlfan1313 said: be careful!!!

The same thing happened to us and we did pay by credit card. I called them constantly to check our reservations. There was never a problem but its hard to listen to someone say ignore the letter especially when so much time and money is involved in going to Disney. Good luck.

This same thing happened to us on our last trip...in fact it was so messed up when we got to the resort we had a $600 credit! so that was a nice bonus...as we had paid by check once and paid by credit card as well. I was told when we got our warning letter that someone forgot to mark it as being a Disney Club member. I have no way of knowing if that was really the reason for the mix up or not. But it does send a fear into you...esp. if you have a great discount price.

:lol: It happened to me also. An error I will not let happen again. I got to the front desk of WL to be told that my reservations were cancelled since I did not pay the remainder before I got there. Everything was taken care of though, so I was fine. Scared at first.
