Warning for Disneyshopping.com

Monday night, October 9, I ordered 4 "design-it-yourself" T-shirts from Disneyshopping.com. The web site said the items were in stock and would ship in 1-2 days. I placed the order ($99!). Last night, I went back to check the status of the order and the web site said they would not ship for six weeks!!!!! I called this morning, and the cast member said the web site sometimes has typos, and they can not cancel my order because the shirts are already being prepared, and they should come in 3-4 weeks. If they are already being prepared, why is it taking so long? This was going to be a birthday present for Vern, so we could wear them on our next trip to WDW. If they don't come in time for his birthday, but my card has already been charged for them, I don't have the budget to buy something else for him. Needless to say, I am angry and disappointed. Caveat emptor!

Those orders are actually handled by Zazzle.com and not by Disney. The six weeks seems way out of line since their site says 1 to 2 weeks. (never saw anything about days.) Maybe they ship 1 to 2 days after the shirts are custom made. :veryconfu

Hate to hear about the trouble, but they should either give you a rush order or at minimum refund your money. I'd try calling them again and go up the chain. If all else fails, call your credit card company and put a stop on the payment. Give them the full story.

Overall the processing and shipping time for DisneyShopping.com has gone down hill. I am a long time shopper of the site and achieved Platinum status in their system at one time, but the shipping time is awful!!! They now have a message that it takes 7-10 business days on standard shipping. It is nothing to wait 3-4 weeks for a shipment. But I have gotten better at planning. They still missed Father's Day for me even though I order a day before their cut off date for standard shipping to get it in time. I would complain. I did that time and they offered to re-ship it express to get it to me.

If they're in the process of being made, maybe you could give Vern a picture of them if they haven't arrived in time...I know it's not the same, but I think he'd understand. Just a thought... :)

That's probably what I'll do - thanks! But I really wanted them for our next trip, which is coming up soon. One of them has the seagulls on the front, and I added "Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine!" underneath the artwork. I had hoped we could wear them on one of our Epcot days.

Oh no! What if we are in the parks on the same day all wearing the same shirt! Will people think we're a Brazilian tour group?:lol:
