I liked the Potter books and movies, however I think there will be some folks disappointed in these since they will only allude to Harry and company, if at all. It should be good, and I will go see it, but they need to get the word out early telling folks what is and is not going to be in it.

the first one is set 70 years before Harry's birth so it will be around 1910. Newt Scamander is the main character Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Rowling will write the screenplay for “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” which Warner Bros. said would be the first movie of a new franchise. So don't be surprised to see more textbooks if this is a success

Cool, I hope they can repeat the absolute magic the first series of films was. I am just nervous because LOTR was awesome and then we get The Hobbit :(
