I have often read posts here referring to Walt Disney's vision and how Walt would or would not approve of this or that, I wonder how many really understand what his vision was ? Well take note of secret 8 " Leave behind something to grow" it speaks of a park that should evolve and grow inspiring stuff .

Take a look

Great article. The author really "gets" Walt. Thanks for posting this.

These are great! Thanks for sharing. Building on this, I love the book by Pat Williams called "How to Be Like Walt". It builds on some of the attributes mentioned in your post and is a very inspiring book.

Yes
And #1, when Walt sat on that park bench watching his daughters on the carousel, he dreamt of Disneyland not Disney World.

There are several books on Walt that clue us in on his philosophy on taking risks, running a business and bouncing back from disasters. So much we can learn from the great ones who have succeeded. So many had the business instincts, were able to get the financing and backing to get things running, and were fortunate to have brilliant workers producing for them. Walts success was also helped by having the ability to draw together a great staff and inspire/ push them to strive for greatness.
If you are looking for another great read, check out Creating Magic, 10 Leadership strategies from a life at Disney by Lee Cockerell. This and others along the same idea gives great tips on dealing with staff and customers.
