Memories and stories of various cast and crew, about the original 1961 film and its three sequels. Among the interviews, all-new footage featuring Hayley Mills is included, and Joanna Barnes, and many other great people from the film, plus various uncredited actress, that have not talked about the Parent Trap in over 60 years that includes Camp Inch Girls, Kay Cole, Lynette Winter, Barbara Hunter and Luna Jackman!
We also focus on the music of the film, in the Parent Trap with an archival interview with the current lasting Sherman brother! . In a special section of the film we pay tribute to Tommy Sands (who is featured in a brand new interview for the film) and we hear memories of Annette Funicello who sang the song with Tommy Sands and stories about the Mickey Mouse Club and how things were back then with Walt Disney with the wonderful Lorraine Santoli and Bill Cotter, Disney historians.
The project analyzes and focuses on the life of Erich Kastner who wrote the original German book, Das Doppelte Lottchen that the films were based on. This is the first full-length film documentary and series that details coverage on the 1961, and 1980s Parent Trap films. The 2nd film will be out later this year focusing on Disney and the 1980s with Hayley Mills, and others from the 80s film. There will also be a special guests in the 2nd film that feature Joey Cramer, and many more. You can learn more and see the film here! https://vimeo.com/ondemand/parenttrap
