Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress to be repurposed as Preview Space?

I heard from a reliable source that as part of WDW's cost-cutting methods, COP will close for good and be dismantled, with the theaters being repurposed to show 3D previews of upcoming Disney films.

If Disney were to actually stoop that low by doing such a thing... Well, let's just say I won't be a happy camper. Not only is COP is one of my favorite shows at WDW, it's a favorite of many.
