Um.. In the Walt Disney World Explorer CD-Rom if you go to MGM-Studios, you can see in the top left corner of the map there is a dog that says eats on it. Why is it there and is it actually at the real MGM? I tried to get a picture of the map but it wouldn't work because it was an invalid type of picture.

What version of the explorer do you have? The latest one i can find still has animal kingdom not opened up (just shows artist's drawings of the park). Is there a newer version out there and if so where could i find it?? thanks for the help.

Yes, there is a new Explorer. I have the old one but that's because I haven't been able to find the new one anywhere, but I remember seeing it at a disney store once. The new one has Animal Kingdom but with only a few rides because it is still fairly old (1998 I believe) so there isn't much difference between the old and new explorer. I think they should make a brand new one with everything in it. That would be cool.
PS. Thanks for your help in figuring out what that evil dog was all about :D

There are 2 versions of the WDW explorer. The first came out in like 1995. and the second in 1998 I think. They really do need to update it and come out with a new one. I have both copies. The one from 1998 has Animal Kingdom but you can't go into any of the rides or lands like Magic Kingdom. It is just an over view of the park. It also has the Coronado Springs Resort in it and the new Buzz Lightyear ride. If you want to buy the second edition you should look on Ebay. I don't think you can buy it brand new because I think It's out of print cuz it's so old. You could probably get a new unopened copy from Ebay though for much cheaper than buying it through Disney that is if they still have it in stock.
