Walt Disney Studios ranked as "head of the class" for this summer

After last year's disappointments with Bad Company, The Country Bears and Treasure Planet, Disney came back this summer with some of the hottest movies. According to this article from the USA Today, Walt Disney Pictures was given an A+ for their performance over this summer with all movies they released being successes, including Holes, Finding Nemo, Pirates of the Caribbean, Freaky Friday and Open Range. In fact, for every 5 dollars spent at the movies this summer, 1 dollar went to a Disney movie. Their success made Disney the first studio to cross the $1 billion mark this year, and they've still got The Haunted Mansion and Brother Bear this year.

The success is even being praised by rival studios, such as Paramount Studios, who gives Disney "a hand" for performing so well. Not to mention that Delahaye's Media Reputation Index has ranked Disney with the "highest reputation" for receiving the most favorable media attention at of all companies, passing the previous leader, Microsoft.

Everything has been great to Disney at the Box Office this summer. A true indication that "The Mouse House" knows what they are doing.

Well, its nice to see that Hollywood is supporting Disney in their time of revival, especially after their recent not-so-good years.
