Walt Disney Internet Group Names Beth Cleary Vice President of Human Resources

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 15, 2002--Beth Cleary has been named vice president of human resources for the Walt Disney Internet Group (WDIG). Responsible for all WDIG human resource functions at all locations, she will lead teams in employee relations, compensation, recruiting, training and diversity.

"We are very excited to have Beth join our management team," said Larry Shapiro, executive vice president, business development and operations, Walt Disney Internet Group. "She has extensive experience in human resources within the entertainment industry and will provide a great level of expertise in helping manage our dynamic business."

Cleary brings to WDIG nearly 20 years of human resources management experience. She joins WDIG from ABC Family, a division of The Walt Disney Company that manages the ABC Family Channel, where she was senior vice president of human resources and administration. Cleary joined the organization in 1996 when it was Fox Family Worldwide, which included Fox Family, Fox Kids Network, International Fox Kids Channels and Saban Entertainment.

Before that, Cleary spent 10 years at Carolco Pictures, Inc., a motion pictures production company, as senior vice president of human resources and administration.

She earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in business management from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah.
