Walt Disney Internet Group and KG Telecom Introduce Disney Mobile Wireless Content Via the i-mode Platform
July 29, 2002

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA & TAIPEI (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Walt Disney Internet Group and KG Telecom have entered into a cooperative relationship to distribute Disney Mobile wireless content to KG Telecom wireless subscribers. KG Telecom is the first telecom operator to launch Disney Mobile service on the i-mode(R) platform in the Chinese market.

The agreement allows KG Telecom's wireless Internet-enabled mobile phone customers in Taiwan to subscribe for downloadable content such as screensavers and ring tones, based on Disney's lineup of popular characters including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and Snow White.

Three services will be available at launch:

-- Character Town -- Disney character screensaver downloads

-- Melody Palace -- Ring tones based on popular Disney songs

-- Disney Fan Magazine -- Updated Disney news and information

"This agreement brings Disney content to KG Telecom subscribers whenever and wherever they wish, allowing them to personalize their mobile communication," said Mark Handler, executive vice president and managing Director, International, Walt Disney Internet Group. "KG Telecom is a strong business partner, offering us expanded distribution in the Chinese market."

"We're certain that our subscribers will appreciate this new service and the entertainment value that the use of Disney characters adds to their mobile phone communications," said Leslie Koo, president, KG Telecom. "We're looking forward to working with Walt Disney Internet Group to introduce additional services together."

Walt Disney Internet Group entered the Asian wireless market in the summer of 2000 with the launch of Disney-i on NTT DoCoMo's platform in Japan. Today, it has more than 2.5 million subscriptions in Japan.
