Walkway from Swan to DHS?

Looking at google maps it shows there is a path on the West side of the canal that leads from the Swan to the overpass and then connects with the Disney resorts path to DHS. Is this true or are we better off just walking to the boardwalk and then taking the path from there?

The path does connect, it actually continues west from the canal to Fantasia Gardens. The one minor downside is that it's slightly less "magical" walking along the sidewalk next to traffic over the bridge, rather than down below the entire time.

It's probably a coin toss on which is faster from the lobby, so play it by ear depending on where your room in Swan is and which route is closer to your start point.

Take the main path. This westerly path is not maintained well (uneven pavement and overgrown shrubbery). And as mentioned you walk along the main road overpass to connect down below. It’s a nice add on trail for your morning jog ir afternoon bike ride, however!
