Either that, or they just don't wait more than 20 minutes for a ride, they've already eaten, and they don't want to stand in line in a store to buy something.

Why not? You pay over $100 to ride the rides. It isn't wise to waste two hours for a slightly better spot - and that's even debatable - that you won't be able to get right before 9pm. To each their own I suppose.
