About the same but at Universal there are more options to sit and take a break if you want. At both parks it is up to you how much walking you do. If you are determined to do everything then you will do a lot of walking.

Much much less. The parks are adjacent to eachother. They are located 5-10 minutes from the hotels by foot. The nightclub area is adjacent to the two parks. In other words, everything is close.
As a result, you never need to take a boat or bus or monorail to get anywhere.

Every Sunday morning I go and walk around both parks. The 2 parks together are about as much as Epcot alone.

Well um it depends where you're walking to. If you stay at portifino and walk to the parks and go to both parks in one day it's way more walking at Universal than Disney.
But if you're comparing let's say IOA to Epcot than Epcot will probably have more.
The parks themselves are all roughly the same size. But since at universal you MUST walk from the garages to the park entrance I'd say there's more walking at Universal even though the entire resort is walkable where WDW isn't.

If staying at resorts there are the boats and the rickshaws, HWE from potter to potter.

Yeah I'm aware of this but the op was talking about walking. Disney has plenty of transport options has well that reduce walking.

ROFLMAO!!! My boys have me around EPOCOT at least twice each day! In June! And I lived to tell BTW we usually spend 3 full days there each trip
