Waldorf Astoria

Hey Guys,

I will be headed to the Waldorf in a couple of months for a conference. I was thinking about heading down a few days early to visit the World, but was curious about the bus transportation system the Waldorf provides, and if the hotel is within walking distance of anything. It's hard to tell on Google Earth since the resort wasn't completed when the last satellite images were put up on Google Earth. It looks close to Pop Century, but again, it's hard to tell. Has anyone stayed here before or know someone that has? Thanks!

They have two complimentary shuttles that do runs every half hour. Here's the current schedule. I'd say if you want to get somewhere their shuttle isn't going to at a convenient time, taxi is your best bet. I don't think there's anywhere on property that would cost more than $20 including a good tip.

Based on location and Disney's layout, there's nothing in walking distance. The hotel is in the Bonnet Creek area, as you said it's in behind Pop Century. By the looks of it, you probably couldn't even walk to Pop.

We stay at Bonnet Creek several times each year. No walking to anything Disney from this area. Drive your own car or get a rental if you plan to do much at Disney parks.
