Wait Times

How accurate are the wait times that Disney usually posts? In your experience, have you seen them post high wait times on a ride (to push people to different attractions maybe)? We'll be there Wednesday and I'm wondering if we should "trust" the posted wait times or assume they're higher than actual waits. Any info would be appreciated!

Ditto! The only times we've ever had to wait longer than the time posted were caused by the rare event of a ride breakdown. Typically, we find that posted waits are a little longer than the actual wait, and sometimes MUCH longer (e.g., 20 minute posted wait for Little Mermaid, when it's actually a walk-on).

I'd say pretty accurate just like everyone else has stated, there is a CM constantly changing the boards to the correct wait times. Every time I check the board and get in the queue line its pretty spot on unless a break down, or a poor woman passes out before she heads on Test Track because she was scared..yes this did happen

I use the Disney Experience app on my phone to check wait times. I used to use other apps, but the Disney app seems the best. In my use, the app's wait times are always a good ball park figure.

Good point I forgot we used the app last year it was actually very helpful with wait times and changing FP selections in the morning.

At open and right after an event they are a bit behind and you can expect a longer wait. By event I mean fireworks, fantasmic, or illuminations. It just takes time for the "time cards" to work through the sudden rush of people to get the time updated. During the regular operation of the day they are pretty accurate.
