Wh00t! We just got in at VWL 4/23-4/28, 1BR suite. :sohappy:

Does anyone have any advice on the resort, like a better floor, or certain parts that have nicer views? We've looked thru some stuff already, and it looks awesome! I want to try to get in on the Family Flag thingamabobber, if at all possible, I think the picture would be priceless! After staying at SSR for our first DVC trip last year, I think staying at a DVC property that shares services with a regular Resort will be nice - food court, restaurants, pools, buses, etc.

Can you see Wishes! from any of the villas?

Do you share a boat to/from MK with any other resorts? (not a problem if you do, just curious)

You might want to request a room near the elevators or at least at that end of the building. Our first trip "home" (and only one to VWL so far) we were given a third floor room at the very end of the hall way. It just seemed so far looking down that hallway. As was already stated, the MK boat is shared with FW. There are the smaller boats that shuttle guests from WL to Contemporary then to FW too. They have different operating hours than the MK boat.
Not sure about seeing wishes from the villas. We were never in the room at that time. Those villas on the water side have about 50 yards worth of tall trees between the resort and the water so even seeing the water can be difficult. Plus the contemporary is pretty much right between WL and MK so that might make seeing Wishes difficult too.

Thanks for the info. A boat to MK is going to be sooo nice, with a stroller in tow. We may even boat over to the Contemporary if we can get a res at Chef Mickey's. It may be nice just to ride the monorail and appease the 3 kids' monorail appetite (ages 5, 2, and 33 ;) ) And being able to get to the TTC without having to fold it up will be nice - access to three theme parks - MK, Epcot, and MGM. Yes, I know you can get to MGM without having to fold up your stroller, although it is quite the lengthy journey. :)

My impression from my reading is that they are themed similarly to the regular WL rooms. We can't wait to stay there!
