Voice narration on Wilderness Lodge ferry boats

Couldn't find any info on this so decided to post a new topic.

I was watching my WDW videos from last summer today and while watching it I had forgotten about something. The voice of the safety spiel narration on the Wilderness Lodge ferry boats to and from the MK was none other than Robert Osborne (RIP). I was pleasantly surprised hearing him when I got on the ship! But it sort of made sense since his voice had also been used for the GMR with AMC's sponsorship. Just to clarify, this was on the Friendship-style ferry Mermaid I & II boats, not the smaller launches that are also used at the Poly and GF.

Anyways, does anyone know or recall when his voice started being used on the boats in Bay Lake? It makes me a little sad because I wonder if Disney had hoped to use his voice to maybe do a future Monorail narration or other things in DW.

Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
