Visiting "the mouse" in January?

Has anyone been to WDW in January? We always go in May and Sept./Oct.. I have been told that it is one of the best times to go. How is the weather? Any really cold snaps? Have you found that you did not fully enjoy your trip with all the resort and attraction
refurbishments? Any thoughts would be great!

Welcome to the forums!

The crowds in January are not too big so you´ll have no problems visiting all the attractions. The weather is cold though... be prepared with jackets, and pack a pair of gloves too... it´s very humid so it gets very chilly at nights and early in the morning.

There is another thread about the weather in December and what to wear in this same boad I think; read that one too... it has more info. :animwink:

I've not been in January, but on an October trip the temperature "plummeted" to the late sixties. It was a little amusing to see how this affected the locals - seeing CMs with mittens and wollen hats. I have some shots of the parade cast members with jackets on!

I'll admit to wearing a sweat shirt until about 9:30 am when the wind died down.

Thanks for the info! I live in Virginia and our winters can get cold. We were there last Oct and one night after a storm it was a little chilly. I put on a sweatshirt to watch the fireworks in Epcot. I did see people, cast included, wearing jeans and jackets. Jeans in Florida!! Thats was a bit much for me!
