visiting Magic Kingdom on Christmas day

We will be in Tampa visiting relatives the week of Christmas (Mon Dec 23 through Sat Dec 28). We were wondering what would be the best day to visit the Magic Kingdom, as far as the least crowded. I understand it will be very crowded that whole week, but might Christmas Day itself (Wednesday Dec 25) be slightly less crowded?

I went to the MK on Christmas 2000 and the park was filled to capacity around 2pm.

Christmas Day is the most crowded, third to July 4th and New Years Day. Try going a few days before!

Christmas Day is by far our most busy day of the year, and often times the park nears capacity very early in the day. At this point, only Disney Resort Guests are allowed entry. Once the park reaches capacity, No one is allowed in. As for what capacity is considered... it's basically at the discression of management team on duty, based upon crowdedness, ride operation, weather, and various other factors.

Thanks everyone for the replies! So Christmas Day is out. Which other day of Christmas week would be least crowded (relatively speaking!) Maybe Monday or Tuesday (which is Christmas Eve), or the Saturday or Sunday after Christmas?

I can tell you that every single day, that park will be jam packed, and might reach capacity on those days as well.

Been twice on Christmas Day, it's shoulder to shoulder, but I think with Fastpass, you'll be able to bear it a lot easier, although you'll probably only get 3 or 4 fastpasses, cause they will go so quick.....it's always a great experience......

You have got to be kidding me!!! That is the best day to go. When we went in the 70s durring christmas break, christmas and new years eve rocked the house with the holiday spirit.

If you want to go on December 25th - I suggest do it, but plan to arrive very early.
