Visiting from the UK - best/cheapest place to buy park tickets?

Hi all,

I am doing some travelling around the USA this summer, and will be visiting Orlando for about a week.. I just wondered if anyone could recommend the best place (assuming it's best to preorder) for me to buy tickets for disney world (and possible universal studios too)? I am not sure if 'discount' tickets are available, or whether it would just be best just to buy direct from the disney/universal site?

Any advice much appreciated!

Cheers :)

thanks... does anyone know if it might be cheaper to buy off a US website and pay in dollars rather than in UK pounds on the official site?

The best deal on Disney tickets are the 7, 14 and 21 day passes which you can only get in the UK. I always get mine from disneyworld.co.uk but you can also get them from other places.

For Universal I would go to their website at UniversalOrlando.com and buy the tickets there. They have a 2 park pass for UK residents that costs $119.95 and is good for 14 days. You will definitely want to buy the tickets online for Universal as if you wait till you get to the park the same 2 park pass costs more and is only good for 2 days instead of 14 days.

I'd sign up for mousesavers.com monthly newsletter, then use the link to go to undercovertourist.com We were able to save quite a bit in the past there.

My best advice is to do alot of research and also know how many days you actually want to spend in disney/ universal. Use the park hours options on the websites as well to find out whats open when, to help you get a rough plan. The ticket prices seem to change day to day by competing partys both us and uk based, but a deal may not be a deal if it doesn't fit your requirments. It my also be worth considering were you are going to stay as if you are planning to stay onsite, booking in advance a package my save you money as there are alot of free days or free dining deals out there, which while you may pay a little more for tickets my save you more money than you would otherwise on hotel or food costs.

Also consider questions such as will i be returning within 12 months of the date I arrive. If you think you will you will, you may be better getting an annual pass.

Also even though they don't advertise them if you ask concergie at any disney resort they can arrange a mears shuttle transfer to universal studios and seaworld (i think its about $30 return per person) Again its best to research as one site my be a bad deal on day and an excellent deal a day later. Alamo also have car hire avaliable on site and you can rent from about $35per day.

MOST IMPORTANTLY BUYING IN ADVANCE ALMOST ALWAYS WILL SAVE YOU MONEY HERE IN ORLANDO.

As you're only in Orlando for a week and the minimum length of UK WDW pass is a 5 day ticket - I'd purchase once over in the US and buy as many days as you require
