Visiting Disney Resorts

This may sound a stupid question but I'm a stupid man!

We are visiting for Christmas and New Years (58 days till we leave!) but we are staying in a villa off site. I've seen lots of people saying it is worth visiting the resorts to see them decked out in their festive stuff etc. Simple question is are we allowed to do that even though we're staying off site?

Thanks

Yes you are - we've done it several times in fact. It's fun to see the campsites at Fort Wilderness all decorated too if you get a chance. Have a great trip!

Make sure you take photo I.D. with you as you'll probably be asked for it at the resort gate. We stay offsite as we have our own place but sometimes visit a resort for a look around or a meal etc. This trip we visited the Contemporary twice to rent watercraft and have a drink, even got free valet parking there as I have a handicapped parking badge (though I tipped them $5 each time).

Have a great time but don't do it on Christmas or New Year's Eve because they might only allow those resort guests to park there because of the crowds. You can always take disney transportation (bus, boat, monorail) to any disney resort any time.

Yes, visit as many as you can because they all differ and the unique displays are awesome. Afterwards stroll through resort gift shops because sometimes you can find something different in them. Also feel free to browse the food courts for different yummy food items. After taking in the resorts you just might fall in love with a place you would want to stay at on another trip.

During our trip over Christmas, one of the most relaxing and fun times was a trip on the monorail to see all of the monorail resort decorations! Our daughter also made an ornament at the Animal Kingdom Lodge which became the first ornament on the little "Charlie Brown" Christmas Tree that we brought for our room!
