Visit a park the day AFTER EMH?

Planning our fastpasses out for our December trip (20-27). We have traditionally gone to the park that has early EMH that same day (opens 8am for resort guests and then 9am for everyone else). We don't bother with the late EMH. I read online that it's best to hit the park that had EMH the day before. Is there any truth/consistency to this where there crowds aren't as "bad"?

First I've read that. Its true to avoid the park on emh mornings but even that ive found to not be a problem.

Yeah the logic was that not as many people would visit say Epcot the next morning if it had EMH the night before. We typically go to the parks with EMH morning and don't have that much of an issue. Just never tried the opposite of going to a non-EMH morning park.

In the past we have gone to the park that had the evening EMH the prior night. It seems to be somewhat less crowded, but not. Going during morning EMH when the parks open to everyone at 8am is much less crowded, of course your in the park about when the sun comes up.

Visiting WDW over the Christmas period it doesn't really matter which parks you visit when it comes to seeking out the lower crowd levels.

If you have the Hopper option on your tickets I'd suggest hitting the morning EMH park at rope drop then be prepared to hop to a different park where you will have your FP+ in place

Yeah, part of our trip is that time where schools are still in session and then the last half is when the flood gates open. The operating hours don't get crazy for a couple of days either. I just didn't know if there would be more activity towards other parks that do not have the EMH. All I know is that last year AK wasn't as busy for Christmas day. Not as long of waits as you would expect. We plan to do this again.
