Greetings all from The Geek Labs
Author Jill Kimball will sign copies of her new book Drawing Families Together -- One Meal at a Time, August 6-7 at Virgin Megastore at Downtown Disney West Side from 1-3 p.m.
The book, featuring an introduction written by former First Lady Barbara Bush, may help families encourage open communication among parents and children; facilitate the sharing of ideas, commitments and family values; promote closeness and a nurturing family environment; and realize the value of mealtime again.
"The time you have with your children is fleeting," Kimball writes. "You want them to be happy and loving, and give them the tools they will need for their future. Our goal is not only to bring families to the table for meals -- where both parents and kids have the opportunity to share what's important in their lives -- but also to help you bring structure and order to your family life."
Mrs. Kimball wrote the book with her husband, Neal, and with family friends Dr. Stacey Tantleff-Dunn and Dr. Michael E. Dunn, both licensed clinical psychologists and associate professors of psychology at the University of Central Florida. Mr. Kimball and the Dunns also will be available at the book-signing event.
