VIP, Concierge and SUITES

Have you ever stayed on Suites or any other type of VIP room in any WDW resort? I stayed twice. First at the Contemporary which was really a luxurious double room on a floor which you could only access by a code. Then, some years ago at the Polynesian, where this suite could almost host 6 people if you wanted to. The rooms are really expensive but it's worth it if you are ready to spend some time in the hotel since they treat you really fine and you get a lot of souvenirs and other gifts for staying on these type of rooms.

the high life

Funny you should ask. I just returned from my first trip to the World last week. My mom and I and my 5 year old son tagged along with a dear friend who had a conference at the CSR. She was the conference chair and had been voted woman of the year for her association. Anyway, through lots of random happenings, our reservation for 2 adjoining regular rooms was replaced with a 2 bedroom suite in Casitas #1.

I have to tell you what this was like. 1 normal hotel room for Disney with 2 double beds, an open closet, and then a bathroom which adjoined the LIVING ROOM (the size of another full room) which had an entertainment armoire, a couch, 2 armchairs and coffee tables, a granite wet bar with 2 barstools, a refrigerator and cabinets to store food. This moved into the DINING ROOM (I am not kidding, it was the size of another normal room) with a big round wood table that seated 8 comfortably and a foyer with the main entry to the suite. Oh, and it was in this area that we had our POWDER ROOM. Then there was the office area (a little smaller than a typical room) with a desk, chair, fax machine, 2 standing lamps, sideboard, 2 armchairs and a coffee table. Then there was the MASTER BEDROOM with a king sized bed and a special bathroom with a step down huge jacuzzi soaking tub and a separate shower room.

It was the most amazing set up I have ever seen in a hotel and it was at Disney, where, lets face it, the rooms are not big. Even the bellman who came to help us with our bags couldn't believe it when he saw how big it was. I am now totally spoiled.

The CSR, btw, was so much nicer than I had expected. I would definitely stay there again, conference or no conference.

I got to stay in a suite @ the swan last year.

It was a joined setup with two different doors.
One room was just a normal room, beds, a small desk, entertainment armiore, etc.

However, the second room was HUGE! It was one large room, but contained another desk/work area, a second bathroom w/shower, a kitchen w/ a bar, a dinner table with room for @ least 8, another king bed, and a living room type area with a couch, love seat, and chair, plus a nice big TV.

this may well have been the nicest room I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Definitely worth it - if you are going to be spending some time in the room (or if you need a second shower to facilitate faster exits in the morning!
