Vinylmation blind box on Ebay - seller knows the vinyl - HOW?

Hey everyone,
I'm hoping someone out there in wdwmagic forum land can help answer this unusual and pretty specific question.

There are occasionally unopened vinylmation blind boxes for sale on eBay and the seller claims to know exactly what vinyl is inside the box.

How can they possibly know?

If the box is unopened, then obviously the bag inside is still sealed, how does the seller know exactly what vinyl he/she is selling?

Just trying to avoid getting ripped off. Does anyone have the answer of any insight?

Did you ask the seller? I don't how they can know without opening the box.

At one point it was possible to figure out which box was the chaser but i think they fixed that?

How could you tell? And how exactly did they fix it? :shrug:

I don't know the answer to your question, but if you are looking for a specific one why would it matter if the box was opened or not? What Im saying is that unless you want one that is unopened for the surprise factor, maybe you should get one that is already opened. That way there would be doubt and no chance of getting ripped off.

I have bought one from ebay. It was the cast member limited one, they came out with vinylmation just after I ended my CP so I thought it would be neat to have. The one I got was technically unopened but those came in a special tin so you knew what it was. I buy and sell on ebay a lot. A few years ago it was pretty unsafe, but now with ebay becoming a huge company they do a lot to keep both buyers and sellers safe from fraud.
