Hi! We rented a 2 BR lake view villa at the GF for 11/29-12/4 through the DVC Rental Store. They've been great, but we are unsure if we will be able to go due to our son's medical condition and COVID. We didn't do the "Cancel for Any Reason" plan, as before COVID, it wouldn't have applied to any reason we would need to cancel. We are stuck with this rental and I was curious if anyone would want to purchase it from us. We cannot cancel and other travel insurance that we bought will only reimburse a portion of what we paid. It was 283 points and a great deal. I've never done this before, so I welcome all advice and suggestions!

Have you contacted the broker yet? Just in case you haven’t, you will need to do that because It will require a new contract between the new renter and broker, and the owner will need to agree.

Yes, and all they said is that we couldn’t cancel, so they weren’t much help in that regard. Any other suggestions? Just trying how best to deal with this. Thanks!

If they say you cant and its not transferable, there isnt much you can do but to go or make someone from your family go.

Just checked and it is transferable! Is this forum the best place to advertise or is there another place? Again, never done this before so I welcome all suggestions!
