Viewing animals from akl after dinner?

I thought I read somewhere that you can get night vision glasses to view the animals after dark at akl. Is this true? Where abouts do you get them? We have a 6:50 ADR at boma on our first night and I thought this would be pretty cool!

The best viewing area for visitors is the Arusha Rock Savannah Overlook (see map below). They have some sort of binoculars there, but I don't remember if they are especially designed for night vision.

I remember them having night vision goggles at the Overlook area linked above, but that was probably 6+ years ago so I don't know if they still have them. It's still a great place to see the animals and visit with some very knowleadgeable cast members.

They have a few pairs of night vision goggles either at the overlook or out on Arusha Rock depending on the weather. The safari guides have them and will show you how to use them. (you cannot take them to your room as many people think you can.) The times change depending on the season so ask the front desk for the most current one.
