This movie really puts the grand size of it in perspective that the aerials don't give justice to. I really like the view under the bridge at 1:22.

This is the thing that struck me most. The scale of all of this is huge. It's easy to miss the size when studying the overhead shots, but there in the middle of it really highlights how big these things are.

Yep very true. Being up close and personal with controlled sight lines and all the landscaping will make a huge difference.

I am so excited for this to be completed, I just don't think I can wait. I just want to grab a shovel and some tools, jump the wall and help them complete it.

I believe that when everything is completed and once all trees and rocks and final touches are added in, the view at 2:37 will be nothing but truly amazing.

Now that we get a POV of what we'll be seeing once everything starts opening, I am more than excited for this.

This looks phenomenal. I knew it would be great, but the size and detail from ground level is amazing. As others have said, when the landscaping is done, it's going to be awesome...details make all the difference.

My thoughts exactly. The details are worthy of the MK and then some. Truly gives you hope that this will be the norm rather than the exception from now on. I expect that places like T-Land will get this same level of detail eventually. That might be 10 years from now or 5 years from now. Who knows? I think this FLE project will be such a hit that TDO et al will be able to easily justify continuing to build on the foundation created by the FLE.

I get the feeling the Imagineer is not all that comfortable with the spotlight but I appreciate his enthusiasm for the project. It is easy to see why he is amped about it. Imagine being able to tell your children and granchildren that you helped build it.

I would hope that TL and Frontierland would get this type of upgrade...
Although seeing the detail on the roofs between LM and BATB, it sure is going to make some exteriors <cough small world> look generic. Luckily they can continue to scrim and prim those area's at will each time February rolls round.

I saw some pics from long range towards FL from LS recently and I am more convinced than ever that the tents in front of PPF and IASW will not last for long. They look hopelessly dated against all the amazing new features going in. And especially since they are between the new Rapunzel(?) area and the FLE.

I think I might like what is happening at the MK more than Carsland.

I'm inclined to agree. Carsland is phenomenally beautiful, but it always bugged me that the whole land is based on just one of the weaker Pixar movies. Plus I hate the name. Had it been called Route 66 and incorporated a Cars attraction with other nods to Californian and US highway culture, it would have sat a bit better. But that's nitpicking. I also prefer Fantasyland Forest to New Fantasyland, but they can call it Cindy's Neighborland for all I care as long as it turns out stunning.

Thought drift...DCA has a whole lotta Pixar. TSM, Monsters, Bugs Land + ITTBAB, a whole land of Cars, and a day parade devoted to only them. Should consider having it be Disneyland and Pixarland perhaps.

Looking good! Eric's castle looks absolutely gorgeous, but I'm still not feeling the forced perspective on Beast's castle. I'm sure it will feel much further away once it's all done.

I'm also actually really excited about the new walkway to Fantasyland that's going beside HM. Someone (edwardtc perhaps) stated in another thread that it is going to be wonderful, with water features, trees, etc. If that area is detailed and themed well, and the FLE area is, then IaSW and that general area 'in between' might be getting some love over the next few years too.

I really feel this one has to be judged form ground level when complete. Certainly from some angles it doesn't work at all, but then that is the nature of forced perspective. And regardless of how well it is done, forced perspective is not a miracle worker, it is never going to look like a 200ft castle.
