So made it back to the DLR on July 13-17 stayed at Hojos and Best Western Park Place. So since I have a bad memory I'm going to post a bunch of pics I took from the days, as well as some thoughts of stuff around the resort.
Hojo's from 13-17 Best Western from 17-18. Two hotels because at the last min we decided to stay another day but Hojo's didnt have anymore rooms so Best Western was the next place.
Hojo's as always was great the new water playground was nice didn't check it out though
no pics eitherBest Western I was a little worried about. but it ended up being really nice. although the walls are really paper thin. I hear that saying all the time and wonder what people are talking about but you could hear everything. Then at 4am so people were walking up to there room with luggage in hand hitting every step on the way up... Oh and then gave up a wheelchair friendly room which was on the 3rd floor with a door that opens to the stairs I thought was odd. Overall though I think I might stay there again since its so close just across the street from the East Shuttle Area.
So first up all the new stuff at DLR since New Years theres quite a lot that has been added to the parks since then too. All highlighted below.
Toy Story Midway Mania!
I was excited for this got to DCA around 3pm and found a 40 min wait. Not that bad of a wait. Mr Potato Head was amazing I almost got a video of him dropping his ear but missed it by a few seconds(darn people that walk to slow
) The old midway game building was only being half used wasn't that bad in there. On the ride was really fun I'v only read the reviews and no videos so I was in for a surprise. I thought the games were really fun though the ring toss was kinda odd. Love the air blasts it kinda took me by surprise the first time I thought it was going to be little air blasts but it was fun. Overall loved the ride and me and my brothers wanted to get back in line after.
Is there no A/C in Midway Mercantile? it was really warm in there.
Pixar Play Parade-
Wow I loved this parade, really fun and colorful and the music I could listen to all day! And yes I was offended when I got hit with water
lol
Innoventions Dream Home-
I thought it was really well done, and very nice to walk through. I watched a little bit of Nightmare Before Christmas in the kitchen and played with the fountains lighting. Upstairs was nice too with Project Tomorrow. Plus I have never seen a line to get in there before I waited 20mins for it.
Mark VII Monorail-
Got to ride at night very cool. The cabin wasn't warm but then again there were only about 12 people in the cabin, and the return trip was only me an my brother. I love the blue inside and the paint job outside was really nice.
Fantasmic's Finale-
I thought the new one was a lot better than the old one. I could see Mickey the whole time and not smoke. The new lighting was really nice too. Can't wait to see what the next re-furb brings.

Indiana Jones Summer of Hidden Mysteries-
Didn't check out the Stone Tiger part but the parts though Adventureland were I thought were really neat, yea its in Adventureland but the shows are so quick the traffic just picks back up again.

Disneyland's 53rd Anniversary and Rededication-
The 53rd had a nice little ceremony at Town Square at 4:45pm which they kept reminding everyone on the park sound system. Pretty big turn out too, ended up sitting at City Hall and the Firehouse so the video I just turned to that instead since I wouldn't really see anything.

I have never stepped foot into the place before in all of its 7 years of being open
shocking I know lol. But we did the buffet it was good, but I loved the corn chowder and the chocolate banana bread pudding.Yes I took a picture of the bathroom
