VERY odd question...

Okay, so I feel weird asking this question but it is a genuine fear of mine because where I am from my boyfriend and I get constant unfair treatment because we are an interracial couple. This is our big trip, and my boyfriends first trip, that we have been saving for since October 2011 and I just don't want to endure that while I am in the happiest place on earth. Has anyone experienced this or have any good stories to tell?

Sorry if this question is...irrelevant? I'm just curious.

Amy I am half Native American, my DW is Irish, I have never experienced anything like that at WDW. Don't however get me started about the Washington "Redskins," but I digress. Go and enjoy,as stated above there are "bad" people and thank goodness "good" people everywhere.

You should have no problems whatsoever with any CMs. However there are wackos everywhere. If you happen across them (hopefully you won't), ignore them and try not to let them impact your trip.

I have a good friend who is part of a bi-racial couple and know plenty of bi-racial people. None have experienced problems with Disney when I was with them or informed me of any problems.

It really isn't an issue.

We've never had any problems or unfair treatment at Disney. My bf is Asian and I'm white and we are always so happy to see all the other interracial couples who look like us at Disney. Everyone has been very welcoming. We've also never had any issues with other guests or city folk.

Disney cast members should not be a problem, but there are stupid people in the world that might have problems with it. And that is their problem. Hopefully all goes well and you can enjoy the Disney magic.

Good people outnumber the bad. I want to believe that if anyone at Disney World ever was ignorant and stupid enough to have that kind of prejudice and let it be known, there would be 100 people right there to defend you. I know I would.

Disney is full of tourists, most of which are too busy with their heads buried in a map trying to figure out where they are to notice or care. I don't know if you plan on driving around but if you stay in the tourist areas you'll be fine. Central Florida had seen a large influx of Hispanics in the last decade. Worry about having fun.

Like others have noted, WDW is probably one of the most welcoming places on the planet for all kinds of people, but there are idiots everywhere as well. For that reason, while it can be nerve wracking to contemplate the "what if's" it's just not worth the time and energy (I know, easier said than done). The reality, most people are so busy and so caught up in the magic that even the idiots often forget to be idiots while at WDW. Go have fun

There are idiots everywhere but I have never witnessed any issues at disney. I really don't think you will have a problem. My bf is half hispanic and I am white so i know what the idiots are like, but if you do run into some idiot just ignore them and don't let their ignorance ruin your trip.

My family is white and my stepdad and half sister are black. When my mixed sister(who was probably 3 or 4 at the time), myself, and my sister were in line for Peter Pan. I was 17 and my sister was 14. A white woman in line as we swung by her commented on how beautiful our daughter was an happy that we chose to adopt!

I will say that we don't get half the stares anymore as we used when we were all younger. People are ignorant and have no class and sometimes you just have to get over it and just be happy with your choices in life and don't ever let anyone make you feel different because of them...

Love you picture. I am native and DH is white we had no issues while there with our 3 kids. Don't let anyone steal your magic - you have saved hard and dreamed big. Sending you pixie dust for a fabulous vacation but I really think that things will be fine. - Just ignore the haters - they just hate - what can you do but throw them some pixie dust to help them along.
