Anyone ever stayed here? We're thinking about it... But we can stay at the Disney World resorts for the same amount of DVC points and be right at the world. Still, it seems like it might be nice. Anyone?

Been there three times. Very nice resort, good dining. Not a lot around there to do, but if you have a car and are willing to drive some, there's shopping, museums and nature centers nearby. The beach is gorgeous and you can't beat the view. Try and get an ocean view room if you stay in the inn.
Overall, it's a great place to unwind and just relax. You can wander the beach, rent bikes, play shuffleboard or putt-putt at the resort, swim or sun pool-side and that's about it. There is also a spa that we had a couples massage at which was great, but like all Disney spas-pricey.
Go and enjoy. Just don't expect to be overwhelmed with things to do at the resort.

That's what I figured. We're kind of go, go, go sort of people when we go on vacation. How were the restaurants in comparison with WDW dining?

Sonya's (sp) is the high end one. Food and service were both very good. Shutters is the "regular" place and shares a kitchen with Sonya's. It's also good. The lounge in the lobby (The Green ....something room) has a limited menu but is a nice place to hang out. The poolside quick service place is comparable to a counter serve in the parks.

We aren't fussy about food and, frankly, fine/presentation dining is wasted on us. So, take our review with a grain of salt. If memory serves- Sonya's had received awards for the area as the "best" around. All in all, the food was pretty good.
