vero beach/hilton head

Hi! I'm pretty sure this doesn't do here but I didn't know where to put it. Has anyone ever stayed at Disney Vero Beach or Disney's Hilton Head resort? If so what did you think? Any tips? Best time to go? Things to do there?

I stayed in Vero back in Feb. The grounds were beautiful, the hotel was beautiful, and the best part is you got a relaxing trip with the quality of Disney. Do yourself a favor and Spend the Extra Points/$$$ on an Ocean View room. All night we left our balcony door open and just listened to the surf on the beach.

I stayed at Hilton Head back in Sept. 2000. It's an absolutley beautiful resort. It, however, lacks the characters one would find at WDW, but the charm of being on the water with the spanish moss in the trees is amazing. The resort is primarily geared toward relaxing. Hilton head itself is an amazing resort island. There is so just much to do. Do a search on Google for the Hilton Head Chamber of Commerce and you find all you need to know. Also, check out the resorts and reviews here on WDWMagic and on Disney.com.

I stayed at Vero Beach for my grandparent's 55th anniversary with my whole family on my mom's side, and it was the best vacation I've ever had. The rooms are beautiful, the restaurants are delicious, and you get all the magic of Disney.
The ocean was wonderful, except sometimes there were jellyfish in the water, so I mostly stayed in the pool (which was great and had a cool water slide) The gift shop (Island Grove Packing Company) was small, but it had items from WDW and from Vero Beach. If you are travelling with small children, there is a walking path themed to Peter Pan that has murals of characters and plays Never Smile at a Crocodile, my disabled sister loved it!!!
It was such a good vacation, whenever I see pictures of Vero Beach now I almost get teary eyed because it was such a magical Disney vacation

I ABSOLUTLY LOVED! Hilton Head! It was awesome! The beach was across the street, so you either had to ride your bike, drive, or take the bus that disney provides for you there. I enjoyed the bike rides. The beach has it's own pool and it was just wonderful. Although, as celticdog it's not True Disney, it's still greatly themed. Minnie and Mickey aren't very prevelant, but it was still a truely amazing place. Aim me, PM me or E-mail me if you have more questions.
