I work for Verizon Wireless and a news item was posted today.

The Florida Region Network team has turned on seven new cell sites in Orlando's Disney World, with two more scheduled for completion later this year -- including one being designed to sit atop the Aerosmith Rock-N-Roller Coaster at MGM Studios. Five of the new sites feature in-building repeater systems that serve convention centers at the Grand Floridian, Contemporary, Boardwalk, Beach & Yacht Club and Coronado Springs resorts.
All boost call capacity and enhance coverage in the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, MGM Studios and Animal Kingdom theme parks, at Disney's five luxury golf courses and throughout Disney's Swan and Dolphin hotels.

Verizon reception is top notch (visited in June and it was good). I highly recommend to update your phone to receive the latest towers. VZW customers use #228 and follow the recording to update your phone.

This sounds like all the work that Nextel has been doing around property. Are Nextel and Verizon sharing towers now? Interesting.

Not sure if Nextel shares towers with them, but I have US Cellular (I believe they have places in FL around the Orlando area). I was told when I got my phone, after telling them I will be moving to WDW (Celebration), that US Cellular has been sharing towers with Verizon to span their recpetion areas. I always thought VZW was the best, but I haven't had any complains with my phone service at all. I just wish I could get more programs that are only offered to VZW customers with Disney ringtones. I only have the Disney/Pixar ones available to me right now, but that's fine with me! Sorry I couldn't answer your question, but I'm guessing since USC shares towers, Nextel might share them as well.
