HI!My dh , me and my 2 children are going to disney world in april. My son is 8 and daughter 5 . we are planning to stay 10 days at a value resort . IS there any difference other then the theming in the value? IS pop better then movie?those 2 would be our first choices becsause the kids like the cartoon type decor. IS one better then the other or do they all suck? LOL I am sure they are fine any info is appreciated.

Pop Century is newer... I just stayed there last month and enjoyed it. really clean and nice. I didnt like the All-Star Music when we stayed there... the AC kept breaking and would leak water into the room.

Pop is newer and nicer. I also think it is a bit smaller than the AS.

I am not a big fan of the moderates. They feel very spread out to me and the rooms aren't that much bigger.

But the room at pop will be very small. Your bathroom will have a toilet and a tub, with the sink outside the bathroom. Hey, at least someone can do their hair while the other is in the shower...

I think Pop is very kid friendly with the bright colors and large decorations. Have fun on your trip!

We stayed at Pop in December and it was nice. A big plus is you don't share your bus with other resorts like the AS's. The store is big and the food court offers a variety of foods.

We stayed at All star movies last year and loved it. Our children were 14 and 4 at the time and both had a great time there. This year we booked late and there wasn't any availability at the movies so we are staying at pop. They aren't the Ritz but if you want the Disney experience without breaking the bank this is definately the way to go. The rooms are fine and the grounds are great. The kids are going to love the decor. We only spent enough time in the room to sleep and shower so it worked fine for us. We loved it and can't wait until Feb. 5th when we get back!!

Another advantage to Pop: It has its own buses. The All-Stars usually share buses, which means more crowds.

We love the Movies because of its theming! We have two girls 8 and 5 and they like the Movies theming better than POP! (which we stayed at last OCtober) Anyway, they are both very nice and if you need pictures go to the www.allearsnet.com and look up the resorts!

Did Pop two years ago and Sports this year. Rooms are same size. Basic small hotel room. Kids loved the theming. Daughter liked pop (70's) better and son liked sports (baseball visitor side). It seemed like the bus rides were shorter from sports to me.

We did Music in 2004 and Pop in 2005. My son is 2 now and we prefered Pop as it seemed less busy and the 1 resort, 1 bus was a major plus. Pop also has 3 pools, playground and kid fountains, where All Star resorts have 2 pools ( I know Movies has a playground but not sure of the other 2).

We stayed at POP last December and liked it better that All-Star Sports. We have 2 13 year old girls, who are as tall as me(5'4'), my husbabd is 6'4", and we had more space in the room at POP. Plus, the beds were extremely comflrtable!! We loved the themeing and the food court was great. The big plus is the Buses!! Have a great time!!!!

All three themes at All-Star have a playground

You really should book as soon as possible. Check with Kingdom Consultants on this forum, and they can help you quite a bit.

Have a magical vacation!

does anyone know how early to book our vacation?I was thinking of doing it in feb since that will be 2 month early. is that too soon?

Not only do you need to book asap but you need to setup any and all dining resises that you can! (esp. if you are on the Dining Plan)

They are shorter. That's one other reason I stay at All-star sports. Also at Sports you get picked up first, and droped off first.
