With this film comnig out very soon, i thought it maybe worthy of its own thread! I just saw the commercial, which made me think of adding this to the list. The part where the mother wants him to eat something before he leaves and then spits up the worm, is absolutely hysterical! What is everyone else thinknig about this film (oh and are they releasing characters in any of the parks??)

Since they just brought out the Chicken Little characters, unfortunately they aren't bringing out Valiant Characters. I'm still kind of if'y about this film, who knows maybe i'll go see it if I have nothing better to do lol.

You know, I've NEVER heard of this film until I saw the commercial on TV for it today. Even at my 5 year celebration, they showed all sorts of promos of all the upcoming Disney pictures, and not a PEEP on Valiant. Why hasn't this film gotten all the hype that Cars or Chicken Little has gotten?

Didn't the release dates for Valient and Chicken Little get switched or something? Has Chicken Little been released in theatres or not yet? They have had ads running for like 9 months now... I am really confused.... but both deal with birds making it ever more confusing....

Maybe it will clear up in a little...

it's possible that they played viliant down a little beacuse chicken little is the in house, disney is doing it them selves, and they really would like a hit, they don't want the two compeating against each other

The answer is yes. Valiant is a Vanguard Animation creation. Disney is simply the distributor for this film. This is Vanguard's first film, but they have several others in development (which will be distributed by Disney as part of a four picture deal under which this will be the first release).

Aha... so is Vanguard the new Pixar?
Vanguard and Toy Story III are just 2 of the many tools at the disposal of Disney to help the Pixar negotiations. If the Pixar deal falls flat, Vanguard will take off like a rocket!

Here is my question.........since Disney is just Valiant's distributor is it still considered a Disney movie? I mean Disney isn't even distributing it internationally, they only have the rights to North America. So I doubt that they have the rights to any of the characters or will even profit from merchandise sales.........am I wrong?
When Disney was involved with Pixar they were atleast co-producers, so they shared profits and costs. Of course that was the old deal, and now Pixar just wants Disney to be its distributor too.......so will these new Pixar movies even really be considered Disney movies?
