Vail Trip

My family is planning on taking a trip out to Vail for a ski week and I was wanting to know if any DVC members have ever used their points at the properties in Vail open to DVC members. Or even Beaver Creek.

I would appreciate any pros and cons you might be able to pass on.

Not through DVC, but my family has a timeshare at the St. James Place in Beaver Creek. I really like it there. We are able to look out our window and see the slopes. There is an outdoor hot tub which is really nice to sit in when it's snowing as well as an indoor pool and workout area. The village area is very quaint...just a short walk through the village, up the escalator and you are at the slopes. My uncle, who turned out no to be the best skiier, spent some time on the deck at one of the bars overlooking the slopes. I love Beaver Creek. We stay in a 3 bedroom and it is 2 floors. One master bedroom with a deck and a large bathroom. The other downstairs bedroom has 2 beds. The upstairs bedroom has it's own entrance door and can be blocked off from the rest of the condo. There is a locker room downstairs in the building where you can store your skis. I would highly recommend this place. It's been awhile since I have gone on the trip with them, but we usually go in March and the skiing is amazing.
