Just wondering if anyone out there had the chance to dine @ Victoria & Albert's. If so, it'd be great to hear about your experience(s). I hope to dine there one day myself. Thanks in advance!

I have been there a couple of times. The first time that I went it was with my family and it was the last night of our trip. It was wonderful and the food was amazing!

The second time I went was last spring, I took my girlfriend while we were on the college program. Once again the food was amazing and it truely was one of the most romantic times of my life. If you are over 21 and a fan of wine then I recomend the royal wine pairing with your meal.

Overall it was amazing, however it was a little pricey before my cast member discount it was over 200 dollars for the 2 of us. Its money well worth it though. Deffinately go for it when you have the money and the time.

My husband & I had dinner there 5 years ago. It was then and still is now the best meal I have ever had. We did the wine pairing and it was excellent. The food was outstanding! One of the most romantic settings to be found anywhere! We leave in 4 days (YEAH!) for WDW and I truly wish I was going back to V & A. We will have our little ones with us and I don't feel comfortable leaving them with in room sitters. V & A will have to wait for another trip. :)

I have been to V & A twice and each time it was Magical. The food is out of this world. The wine pairing is a must, it really ads to the event. I say "event" because, when you spend that much money on one meal, it IS an event. Not to mention, it takes about 2 hours. If you a celebrating something special, I would go to V&A.:slurp: :) :)

My wife and I were just there on April 16th for our 10th anniversary.

It was fantastic.

I have to say however, if you are a fussy eater, this is not the place for you.

This is a fine dining at it's best.

Our menu was as follows:

Choice of one cold appetizer:

Seared Yellowfin Tuna with Seasame Tofu, Green Tea Vinaigrette
Spiced Boar with Jicama, Hearts of Palm and Mango Vinaigrette

For an additional $30.00 per person you could have chosen Iranian Karabarun Golden Osetra Caviar

Choice of one warm appetizer:

Elk Tenderloin with Cauliflower Puree and Artichokes
Diver Harvested Cape Cod Scallop "Pot-au-Feu"

Choice of one soup:

Gamebird Consomme
Roasted Fennel Cream

Choice of one entree:

Porcini Crested Quail with Fresh Morels and Foie Gras
Alaskan Sable over Corn and Crab "Chowder"
Grilled Filet of Beef over Onion and Potato Puree, Cabernet Jus
Colorado Lamb with Goat Cheese Gnocchi and Warm Heirloom Tomatoes

Cheese course:

Taleggio and English Stilton with Burgundy Poached Pear

Choice of one dessert:

Tropical Fruit Mousse in an Orange Scented Chocolate "Purse"
Pyramid of Chocolate Mousse with Glazed Strawberries
Caramelized Banana Gateau
Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee
Kona Cholate Souffle
Grand Marnier Souffle

We had an appetizer of smoked salmon with cucumber and caviar.

This was not listed on the menu.

Also they gave a complimentary glass of port wine with the cheese course.

The price was $85.00 per person and wine pairing were $35.00 per person.

We did not do the wine pairing since my wife is not much of a wine drinker.

I had three glasses of wine and my wife had one.

Our bill was $220.00 before the tip.

The elk was the best piece of meat I have ever had.

We absolutely enjoyed ourselves!

I hope you get a chance to dine there soon.

We ate there back in 99 and it was and still is the best dining experience we have ever had. The food is outstanding. My husband collects wines so we did the wine pairing and it was incredible. Also, if I remember correctly, there were 2 menus to choose from and we choose to go with chef's special menu. You can also request for the "chef's table" where you are seated with the chef and have a 1 of a kind meal prepared just for you. We just got back on 4/22/02 and we really wanted to do V&A's again but I didn't feel comfortable leaving my kids with an in-room sitter who I knew nothing about. Our next trip might include grandparents and if that happens, V & A will definitly be on our agenda. Enjoy-I'm jealous!!:) P.S.-I highly reccommend the creme brulee-the best I ever had!:slurp:

Like DBorges said, it's not for picky eaters.
We went a few years ago, it was a great experience! We also did the wine pairings and the food was outstanding.
But you do have to be a little adventurous to eat there. I pretty much stick to just beef and chicken, I don't eat veal, venison, pheasant, cornish hens etc. (If I could be more creative, I'd probably be a vegetarian :) ) It was hard for me to find something I would like. That's the only thing that keeps me from going back.
For once in a lifetime experience, I would definately recommend it!
