Using Two Magic Bands

Okay, quick question! I had made FP+ reservations for my friend and myself. I used DH's band for her reservations since he won't be able to make it for this trip. Now my friend isn't going to be able to come either, so I have both our bands with FP+ ressies on them. Is it possible to take both, get off a ride using my band, and switch bands to go again?

I do believe that would only work if the band/admission media associated with the band have been used to enter the park. Much like how you could have used your friends paper ticket to get paper fastpasses, but only if the ticket has been used to enter.

It might work. I know that on our trip 2 weeks ago, there were 3 of us and we all had magic bands and used those to enter the parks but my sister and I also had APs that we could use for papers FP. We stayed at Pop for one night and then CBR the next 4 nights and for some reason the Pop KTTW card had 11/6-11/11 on it (rather than just 11/6-7) and the CBR KTTW card had 11/7-11/11. All of the cards worked so we had 6 KTTW cards and 2 APs to use to get FPs. So if you have a FP or KTTW card, you can probably use those to get paper FPs. Though I hear some people tried and were not able to.

Dreamfinder is correct in regard to FP+. The FP+ reservations on the profile linked to the second Band will only work if you use it for admission to the park (and thus a day off of whatever ticket is associated with that profile). Seems like a pretty expensive way to get extra FP+.

I think it might work. Here is what just happened to me. I booked a split stay as you know started at WL on the 20th. We had a set of magic bands. On Sunday we moved to BWV. Had a set waiting here. The new magic bands would not take the hotel portion of the booking. I had to leave our set of magic bands from WL at the concierge along with the new set while IT worked to integrate the hotel booking to the new magic bands. At the end of them having the magic bands for about 5 hours, both sets were returned and we were told we could use either set of bands we wanted (color coordinate so to speak) to enter the park and do any FP+ bookings. But they will not allow charging or entry to the room. We have to use the KttW card for that. I have been wondering what kind of computer glitch this is but all I can figure it must have something to do with the technology doesn't easily integrate between the resort and my magic.

Except in your case, both bands were linked to the same account. So two bands, one MDE account. The OP is trying to use both her band and her DH's band, herself. So two bands, two different MDE accounts. When it comes down to it, for park admission and FP+, what really matters is the MDE account. You can have multiple MBs linked to a single MDE account and should be able to use them interchangeably, as the MB just points back to your MDE account and the associated park admission media. So if the MBs were tagged to different MDE accounts, then the ticket media for that MDE account would need to have been used that day in order to activate the FP+ entitlements.

It did work for opening the door, but not sure about charging. We didn't try charging anything on it.
