Using Points at All Inclusives

I have never used my points anywhere but Disney World. We're thinking of doing an all-inclusive with our teenage kids. Looking for opinions on good ones to go to...and, is it often just cheaper to bookthe trip outright. It seems like a lot of the all-inclusive fees are pretty expensive.

What kind were you looking at? You would have to be able to trade through RCI for it.

I have unloaded my timeshare this past fall, and I am going to let RCI expire also. Their fees have just become gawdawful !! When I started into it - in the 1990's the fees were a whole lot more reasonable, and also there was not so much internet to do your own searches on. Now I find that for just a little bit over my yearly maintenence fees (began at $250 - now it is over $850 per year) - I can outright pay cash for the same condo weeks. I love the internet !!

I have never tried it myself, but we looked into it once and the all-inclusive fee wasn't much more than the cost of just booking the room for cash (which includes all inclusive). You may be better off renting your DVC points for cash and then just booking the all inclusive room for cash. It's a little more work, but could work out a lot better financially.
