Using Package Tickets Early

Hello,

Prior to the change to date-based pricing, if you had tickets that were tied to a Magic Your Way package (room/tickets/dining), you could go to Guest Relations and begin using the tickets up to 3 days before your resort check-in date. So, for example, if your check-in date was July 10th, you could go to Guest Relations on July 8th and have the tickets activated for use.

Since the switch to date-based pricing, can anyone tell me if that is still the case or not? We have a package booked with free dining, but are considering adding a couple of nights on to the beginning of our stay. Would we be able to activate and use our park tickets early, or would we have to wait until the check-in date on our package?

No, it can no longer be done, as the start date is tied to the start date of the package, and the valid use period is tied to the length of the package.

Hmmm... I did this about a year ago and was told recently it can still be done. I arrive in a few days so I can report back after I try it

That made me realize that there is a difference, depending on WHEN you purchased your package, and IF any changes were made to your package that could affect the tickets.

IF you purchased the package before the ticket change in mid-October 2018, and didn't make any changes after that, you should still be able to get your tickets before package check in; however, if your package purchase was made after mid-October 2018 then you have the new tickets and cannot get the tickets before package check in.
