Has anyone experienced any problems using face time at disney. I know from past experience using public wifi that sometimes the signal strength can be insufficient. Would I be better using something like viber to stay in touch? Any advice or tips wild be welcome. Tia

We had no problem. Used it in both EP and AK and also tried it in MK but it was just too loud around us at the time but the signal strength was fine. It worked great for us since our son was at home.

Great that is fab to know. I just spent a frustrating evening in Dubai airport yesterday trying to connect but it would due to the signal strength, so I just thought I would check as it is a great tool to keep in touch when we are out of the uk. Thanks for replying

I also used it several times last trip on the parks for the kiddo to share her trip with Mom, who was at home in Maryland. The only park we had issues at, that I recall, was Animal Kingdom.

Another option to look into is Skype...though, I find facetime tends to work better overall.

We used face time when in WDW last year on park wi fi, it worked fine, a bit intermittent on occasions but on the whole ok to keep in touch with family back in the Uk.

I've had a problem with face time maybe once in Magic Kingdom. Though on other occasions, I have face timed on Astro Orbiter. Weeee! :p You should have no problem though.

I spent a night in airport as well. At least it's one of the nicest airports in the world. Real world that is.

No
I used it in January, both in the park and at the resort, to talk to my parents back home. It's okay. Sometimes it cut out on me, but usually it worked pretty well. Our room didn't have a great Wifi signal. I'd use data if you're able to.
