Not for 6 months. That is a perk to the card. If you charge your vacation at a Disney Resort, package, room, or dining plan etc you get 6 months interest free to pay that charge off.i want to use my Disney visa to pay off my Disney vacation. My question is does anyone know if I will be charged intrest fees?
Your very welcome!! Hope you have a wonderful trip!!Awesome! Thank you !
i want to use my Disney visa to pay off my Disney vacation. My question is does anyone know if I will be charged intrest fees?
Can you apply for one of these cards if you are not a US citizen?
(From the UK and thinking this could be perfect just for my vacation )
And also, are these extremely hard cards to obtain? My fiance and I are twenty two, and we've both been victim to our parents using our credit when we were very young - but I've finally gotten all of those charges cleared from my record! Is there an average credit score that Disney Visa prefers?
This is not correct. When they changed laws back in 2008 or so all payments go towards the charge that is getting charged interest first if you pay over the minimum! You will not be charged interest on the Disney vacation for 6 months. However, if there are other charges on the card, there is no separation of what your payments go to.What I mean, if you have $1,000 balanace and another $1,000 for the Disney vacation, all payments are going to $1,000 vacation charge because Visa/Chase can charge interest on the other $1,000. You do not get to choose which charges the payments go to.
But will they charge interest for other charges on the card? for example, if I had a $1000 balance from my Disney vacation, but then charged other purchases (grocery store, gas, etc) on the card, would they charge interest for those? Or would the best bet be, don't use the Disney Visa for any other purchases until the vacation is paid off.Not for 6 months. That is a perk to the card. If you charge your vacation at a Disney Resort, package, room, or dining plan etc you get 6 months interest free to pay that charge off.
That's the simplest and safest thing to do. They'll charge interest on any balance in excess of the Disney vacation charge amount. But will they charge interest for other charges on the card? for example, if I had a $1000 balance from my Disney vacation, but then charged other purchases (grocery store, gas, etc) on the card, would they charge interest for those? Or would the best bet be, don't use the Disney Visa for any other purchases until the vacation is paid off.

From what I understand, to get the six months it has to be a package, it can't be room only. Not for 6 months. That is a perk to the card. If you charge your vacation at a Disney Resort, package, room, or dining plan etc you get 6 months interest free to pay that charge off.
Yeah I was not charged interest for room only either. Also when I purchased tickets for special events though Disney, or annual passes I was not charged interest in those either for 6 months. I now also buy dining plans by themselves when we stay on points now that we are DVC members and I don't pay interest on that either for 6 months. So that is odd you would have paid interest for a room only as we have done it several times even this year when we added a cash stay to our DVC stay seperately. No interest for a full 6 months.Weird. I did room only and was not charged interest.
Yep you are correct. A lot of people think it's still the old way before those laws changed back in 2008 or so.Payments are supposed to go to the highest interest balances first. I believe this was part of the credit card reform years ago? I'm sure there are loopholes though. My BOA cc seems to be working that way.
