Using a Pin Code

Alright so I have a question. My mom got a pin code in the mail under her name and I hear that you can only use them if the person whose name it is under is on the reservation, but I've also heard some people say they have been allowed to use them anyway. Does anyone have experience with this?

My friend and I are going in May and we were just curious if we should bother asking if we can use it. The reservation is under my name.

You can try. I have not had success with this though. I get Pin Codes all the time under my brother-in-laws name (he went once and has no desire to go back) but have been told I cannot use the code unless he is traveling with us. The disclaimer on the Pin Code notification does say "non-transferable."

I have used a pin code that was sent to my e-mail with my moms name. I had to push it .I had to call, first phone call I was turned down . Second phone call 10 minutes later and it worked.

I got pin code sent to my address but had my dads name on it. I was not able to use it.
