Well, the success of Wizardly World at USH has the owners of the Hilton wanting to add 365 rooms.

>>The biggest hotel in the San Fernando Valley could get a lot bigger as Harry Potter fans heading to Hogwarts flock to the inn.

The owner of the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City plans to file an application with Los Angeles officials Wednesday to add a second $100-million tower to the hotel overlooking the Universal Studios Hollywood film studio and theme park.<<

Interesting to note that NBC/Universal/Comcast isn't too happy, as they have plans to build 2 of their own Hotels on property.

Interesting to hear, I thought I had read that the west coast World of Harry Potter was not quite as successful as Universal had predicted. I understand Nintendo Land is on the horizon, yet at this time it's hard to imagine Universal's crowd necessitating another hotel.

Not sure where you read that. All reports, including the official investor comments have been positive. If anything, above expectations. USH has capacity crowds ever since the Christmas Potter Light show premiered.

>>The Philadelphia-based media giant released its third-quarter 2017 financial report that showed theme park revenue increased 7.7 percent to $1.55 billion from $1.44 billion for the same quarter last year. Year-to-date revenue is up 10.6 percent to nearly $4 billion compared to $3.6 billion for the same nine-month period in 2016.

According to Comcast, the boost in performance for the quarter is due to "higher per capita spending, reflecting the continued success of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter attraction in Hollywood, which opened in April 2016, and the openings of Minion Park in Japan in April 2017 and Volcano Bay in Orlando in May 2017."<<

>>Well, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has opened and attendance at the park has soared thanks to that and other new attractions — rising from 5.1 million visitors in 2011 to nearly 8.1 million visitors last year, according to the Themed Entertainment Association's annual attendance reports. But Universal still hasn't moved publicly to add any hotels.

The old Fung Lum restaurant site next to the Frankenstein parking garage remains empty, but the word is out that the Saddle Ranch restaurant is closing after this month. Those were the two designated sites for hotels in the Evolution plan.<<
