Use your SLR lens with your iPhone

yeah, I saw this the other day. It looks fancy but it doesnt change the size and resolution of a cell phone sensor so what is really the point?

Its also quite pricey...and for what? I swear the Cult of apple gets more and more scary every day.

They seem to be saying the main benefit is that you can get depth of field control and utilize massive zoom. They have some samples, at the end of the day, you are still using the small sensor and built in lens - so your SLR lens is really acting like a convertor, and we all know how they turn out.

Still, it's interesting to see what people come up with!

You can only get depth of field control if your lens has an aperture ring. Most modern lenses (at least the consumer level ones I've seen) are controlled by the camera, there's no manual aperture ring, so you're stuck full open on this adapter.
Plus, the pictures are upside down when you are trying to take them.

It looks intriguing, but not worth 250$. Something for momtographers with more money than sense.
