Hey whats up guys/gals.

I'm planning on taking my gf this weekend to Walt Disney World in Florida for her birthday but at the same time surprise her with a proposal. I want it to be in Magic Kingdom because that's her favorite park. I'm between the Rose Garden, Cinderella's Wishing well, or at Dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table. I've contacted multiple departments about the Rose Garden because I saw online that there's a package that we get a private moment and they'll present her with flowers, chocolate and a glass slipper but no one knows what was i talking about...could someone help me on this? She mentioned she doesn't want a big crowd when I pop the question so that's why I want to do the Rose Garden or even the wishing well.

Any help would be great! ;)

Did u speak with Disney Proposals, Weddings and Honeymoons?

Hi,

I actually did speak with the Wedding department and they said they couldn't help me. They only do weddings and vow renewals but nothing with proposals and engagements. I had ask about their Private Rose Garden package and no one knew what was I talking about...I got the run-around with 6 different departments...so far not a good experience.

I was wondering about this too... who do you call to set up a proposal?

I called the Disney Dream Makers, the Wedding Department, Guest relations, The Enchanted Dream Department, and the main switch board several times. None of which helped me get the answer I wanted but they told me about the Cinderella's Royal Table and some custom packages that will cost between 4-35k. I just wanted Disney to help me to make the day perfect but looks like I have to do it myself. I wanted to do the Rose Garden and after I propose they'll come out with the glass slipper, flowers and chocolate(i called Disneyflorist) and they said they don't do that.

That's where I saw the idea...

First of all congratulations and best of luck with the proposal.

I'm a woman, so I'll give you my (female) point of view. Personally, I'm fairly private and I would not want lots of other people around during a proposal. In my own experience, the proposal moment is so overwhelming (especially if you're completely surprised) that you really want quite a bit of time to take it in - with only your fiance around. So I would not be disappointed that you can't get this package with the flowers, slipper, etc... In my mind that's kind of overkill anyway. When you receive a proposal from your beloved, you don't want a stranger barging in with a box of chocolates. It's more important that you two be together, taking in the moment.

What I would suggest that you consider is finding a quiet spot and simply proposing there. No bells and whistles (well, except for a nice ring I imagine). The rose garden seems lovely as you have the castle as backdrop. The bridge to Be Our Guest in New Fantasyland could also be nice as it's quite a nice spot and a fairly romantic setting. What about a secluded spot on Tom Sawyer Island? What about the overlook by the main street train station, looking out over the Magic Kingdom? I don't know your girlfriend, but I think sweet and simple wins the day. If she loves you and she loves Disney, she'll love the proposal!

Let us know what happens!

Wow! all those ideas sounds awesome!

Thank you very much for taking your time in replying. My gf is like you, she prefers something more quiet and more private. That's why I was thinking about Cinderella's wishing well or the rose garden. I'm going to see if I can find images on google of the other places to see how it is. She's obsessed with Dinsey and winne the pooh lol. I hope she loves it.

Thanks again!

While I know the TOTW is for DVC owners only....it would be cool if someone could let you propose to her up there while Wishes is happening. You get a whole view of the MK park and surrounding areas!

Just find a nice place during the middle of wishes with firworks poppin and the castle in view when you get can on a knee and ask. Find a dark area so it'll be intimate and illuminated by fireworks...off to the rose garden or frontier land walkways side where people actually shut up and watch the fireworks...
