This is my idea for a redesigned Liberty Square!
UPSTATE RIVERSIDE:
The Frontierland border is now themed to upstate NY in the Victorian era. This was when the aristocracy would visit the area to get away from the cities. This same era is the theme of Saratoga Springs, so, think of the theming there when reading this. Several towers, similar to Saratoga’s, are added to the riverside. A water tower stands behind Diamond Horseshoe. The Diamond Horseshoe is renamed to Salon Miller. This is an Upstate New York salon of the 1800s. This is where the wealthy aristocracy of the day would socialize. The architecture and size both seem Salon like, so, it’s only natural! The Liberty Tree Tavern is renamed to Colonial Terrace. Nothing changes with the tavern itself, the only change is the name.
SLEEPY HOLLOW:
The main area of Liberty Square will transform into Sleepy Hollow. The Hall of Presidents is replaced by the Church, Bridge, School, and Farmhouse of Sleepy Hollow! This facade holds The Legend Of The Headless Horseman, a stop motion film based on Disney’s Sleepy Hollow using paper images for most of the story, but sculptures of Ichabod and The Headless Horseman for the climatic chase! The Haunted Mansion is upgraded to become the most terrifying attraction in the area. The ghost host narration is upgraded in audio quality, the beating heart bride proudly returns to her attic, the pop ups and Hatbox Ghost by her side, the Sinister 11 reunite to stare at guests once more, this time, these possessed paintings watch as guests load, Giant Spiders menace guests alongside those evil eyes in the dark, a skeleton screams from within a web, and a group of animatronic Hitchhiking Ghosts join guests in their doom buggies. Memento Mori is renamed to Madame Leota’s Readings And Potions. The theme is also slightly different, as it is now an apothecary/room where Leota did her seances and readings in the past. During the Halloween events, this section is called Colonial Terrors. Fog rolls across the streets from the mouths of gnarled trees with evil faces, Ghosts from The Haunted Mansion wander the streets alongside Ichabod and The Headless Horseman. The Haunted Mansion gains live actors portraying a suit of armor (Endless Hall), dancers (Ballroom), phantom brides (Attic), and various partying spirits (Cemetery).
OLDE SALEM TOWNE:
A new attraction is located where the Tangled Restrooms once were. This is HOCUS POCUS: ESCAPE THE SANDERSON SISTERS. Tour guides take guests through Olde Salem Towne. Groups pass beautiful cabins, only to stumble upon The Sanderson Cottage. Once inside, guests must find a way to escape with the children intact! Binx the cat will help guests along the way. In order to escape, guests must unlock the book of spells, perform a copying spell, unlock ingredients, and prepare a potion to make witches disappear. All the while, the Sanderson Sisters are slowly returning from the dead, as Mary smells children in their home. If guests succeed in the goal, the Sanderson Sisters will begin flashing before fading out of existence. If guests do not succeed, the children are taken by the Sanderson sisters to be used in their immortality potion! (Really, the children are lead out of the room early.) This area is full of actors portraying fearful villagers! The town is decorated with dried cornstalks, pumpkins, and a pillory in the center!
