My friend is there now and upgraded to annual passes from regular passes and had to do it at guest services at the park or downtown Disney. We will probably upgrade but only from 2 day park hopper to 4 day FL resident ( we have to wait to check in and then upgrade so we can keep our FDD). Is the only place we can do this at guest services or can we do it at the hotel? She told me the wait to upgrade to annual passes was an hour wait...just trying to see what to expect. I was hoping the wait was just bc of the annual pass stuff they had to do.

We upgraded our 8-day PH to Premier Pass a few weeks ago, while at Disney Springs. It is my understanding that you must do this at Guest Services, and that it can't be done in the hotel. And yeah, the wait was roughly 1 hour.

That said, you might check to see if they can help you at the Guest Services location in Liberty Square. It's just by Hall of Presidents and there's almost NEVER a line in there. I'm not sure if that's something that they can help with there or not, but if they can, then it'd be much faster.

I've always had pretty good luck with guest relations at the International Gateway entrance at Epcot. The line there never seems too bad. Usually there's only a couple of folks waiting if any.

I have upgraded tickets a number of times - most of the time at guest relations, but I have also been able to do it at the booth at the international gateway. You can also do it at the TTC, sometimes there are no lines there.
